In Nebraska, in the United States, in 2018, a woman tried to steal a cat.
The cat's owner says he received an alert on his phone notifying him that someone was near his house. When he viewed the security camera on his phone, he watched the scene unfold. His 8-year-old cat "Mara" quickly understood what was happening and escaped just before getting into the car.
The owner then gave the video to the police, who found the 17-year-old woman and arrested her for trespassing and theft.
