Review of the film Extraction, Tyler Rake
One of the best in the genre (9/10)

If you like action movies, this one is made for you. Personally, I do not watch many of them, but this one really impressed me.
The character Tyler Rake, played by Chris Hemsworth (Thor in a previous role), perfectly fills the role of the unstoppable soldier.
Some scenes are beautifully directed, with very subtle special effects. For example, during a car chase, the camera seems to circle around the vehicle and give us wide shots before moving closer and entering the car for a tight shot, then leaving the vehicle to film inside the other car, without any visible cut.
Because very often, in this kind of film, scenes are broken down and we jump from one close shot to another without really understanding the whole scene. In this film, everything is designed to limit that kind of annoyance as much as possible. The fights are only very lightly cut and are carefully choreographed, even hand-to-hand.
Sometimes, right in the middle of the fight, there is a touch of humor that can genuinely surprise us.
Beyond this excellent staging, we travel through India and cross many varied settings.
In addition, the story keeps a share of depth and emotion.
In short, a film that should please most viewers.
