Bertolt Meyer turns his prosthesis into a synthesizer interface
Information
Video published by Bertolt Meyer
Mr. Meyer has had a prosthesis since he was very young.
For some time now, thanks to progress in the field, he has been able to control an artificial hand with thought, like a muscle.
He can therefore send different electrical impulses to perform different movements.
He is passionate about electronic music, but his disability does not easily allow him to change certain values live.
To get around this problem, he decided to modify his prosthesis so that the electrical impulses communicate directly with his audio equipment. With the help of Chrisi from KOMA Electronik and her husband Daniel, they were able to create the technology needed to partially connect the prosthesis.
He can therefore influence certain values such as pitch, frequencies and so on, using thought.
We can imagine even more advanced technologies in the future that would go even further :)
