In the USA, in 2018, a woman so drunk locked herself in her car with her 10-year-old child, all the windows closed, while it was about 38 degrees outside. Police estimated the temperature inside the car at over 48 degrees.
Luckily, the child was brave enough to call the police from the car and explain the situation. Officers eventually managed to locate the vehicle and rescue the mother and son. One officer said he smelled alcohol on the mother, and he also heard the woman tell her son, "get out of my life". She was arrested for endangerment and child abandonment.
