Review of the film A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
Very well acted, but worth seeing only once (7/10)

Without spoiling anything, you should know that this film is mainly centered on the journalist and his family, and not on Mr Rogers as we might think.
However, Tom Hanks plays a key role with flair as always, adding a new character to his portfolio thanks to Mr Roger, who seems to be an unusual and difficult-to-read individual.
At times, it has a bit of the atmosphere of Forest Gump.
Be careful though: like most biopictures, overall the film is not really cheerful. The main idea seems geared toward conveying a feeling of forgiveness and channeling anger.
You should also know that the last 4 seconds of the film have great importance regarding Mr Roger’s true character, at least in my opinion.
If you are looking for a drama with depth and sharp acting, this film should satisfy you.
