My Haier dishwasher only lasted 7 years
Planned obsolescence or not, 7 years for the life of a dishwasher seems relatively short to me.
I bought it on June 27, 2013 from Cdiscount for exactly 228.94.

The model: HAIER - 60 cm dishwasher DW12TFE2ME
Now, after two or three minutes in normal mode, it beeps 6 times every 30 seconds. According to the documentation, this failure requires a technician. So the repair cost is probably higher than, or almost equal to, buying another dishwasher.
In terms of use, it was not used much: a couple without children, hardly ever cooking, so mainly glasses, plates and cutlery.
Here in Bayonne there is very little limescale, the water inlet and drain seem to be in good condition, the inside is clean, and during the short time it runs, it does produce heat. It looks very much like an electronic failure or a faulty sensor.
According to the label on the back of the machine, it seems to have been made in China (like everything, I suppose, these days).
So if you see a good-priced Haier dishwasher, be careful: it will not necessarily last the 10 years promised as the average lifespan of a dishwasher after 2010.
